Re: Custom bathroom/1997+ insert?
I'd love to have a 'functioning' shower, but it just doesn't seem possible, as this minimal area currently doubles as our closet. Furthermore, due to the storage limitations regarding fresh, and gray water, we are looking at other options like an outside shower (my wife just shakes her head), or ins...

Re: Sewer Hose Door
I went that way with the power cord, as well. However, I went with a chrome marine installation. The old door wouldn't stay shut and seemed like easy access for rodents and bugs. This works great! Does the chrome cover screw closed, or is it spring loaded, too? (I know the power connection is right...

Re: Sewer hose door
I've had it with that little tube! It doesn't hold enough hose and it really messes up the area under the tub. In addition, I always have to open the back door to get my gloves. Therefore, this winter I am installing another door, right where the tube sits. It will open below the tub and give me an ...

Re: Over cab mattress
If that works for you, awesome. No question there was a significant savings in your direction; we just needed more than a piece of foam for our situation. While we would have loved the savings, if we were to do it over again, we wouldn't change our decision. I'm not a salesperson, nor do I have vest...

Re: Upgrading Front Seats?
No. Original seats were manual, as are the new ones. You'll have to call them on that, sorry.

Re: Over cab mattress
It sleeps very well, I'd say very similar to our bed in the house. We got home last weekend from a busy racing event and after finally unloading everything my wife took a nap back in the camper rather than coming in the house. I'll take some more photos this afternoon. We put it in a mattress sock t...

Re: Over cab mattress
My apologies, I dropped the ball on this one. Here is a photo of the invoice. I hope I am answering what you are asking. Originally I was going to use a 'folding' mattress, but when I looked at the math, regarding how thick our is, it wouldn't be able to fold. Therefore, we did two pieces. That way,...

Re: Upgrading Front Seats?
The new seats fully recline and swivel. We added the seat warmers (I just discovered I have yet to wire them in), but no lumbar supports. We also got dual armrests. They attached perfectly to the existing bases with all the holes lining up properly. One note I will make is that when they ship them, ...

1962 Triumph TR4. We bought our Airstream specifically for vintage racing. Because I tow, I have learned much and have been able to contribute to other forums, including threads regarding increasing the towing ability.

Re: Upgrading Front Seats?
I ran out and tried to take a couple more photos but it is off limit to me as my wife is packing it for this weekend. It's our last race of the season and we leave in the early am. Here are a couple 'blind' photos, if they help.

Re: Upgrading Front Seats?
It really was an easy fix. I used only the frame which came with the jack knife I purchased from them. I took a hacksaw and cut the elbow (right angle) out of the leg and then took a piece of flat iron and bent it to match the contour of the wheel wheel. I bolted it to both ends of the frame I cut a...

Re: Upgrading Front Seats?
Thank you. Here are a couple photos of the Jack knife. Worked well and we are really pleased with it.
