Choke Position
When I got my camper van, the generator wouldn't run. I found out it was because the choke was stuck open, as soon as I manually pushed the choke to the left and started it it ran fine and even under load, the A/C at max setting. My question is now is seems like the choke is always in the same posit...

Re: 1998 Airstream B190
Nice find! The bunk is sagging? Can you post a picture? Ours is just particleboard, so cutting new pieces isn't a big deal. I guess I should be more clear, the support on both sides is sagging, not the bed platform itself. It is actually pulling the cabinetry down on the sink side. I'll snap a phot...

1998 Airstream B190
Hi guys, just got back home a 1998 that was in pretty good condition externally and internally. Mechanically it needed some replacement of worn out parts. image1.jpg image2.jpg Bought it for $18,000, originally listed for $19,500. Some issues it had: The water heater pilot wouldn't stay light. Blows...

Re: Battery question
My coach battery won't hold a charge and I want to replace it but I think I should change the converter first or else it'll destroy the new battery if I'm not mistaken.

Re: 1997 B190 Leakey fresh water fill hose
I just had to do this repair myself. Instead of taking out cabinets to reach the fresh water inlet, you can remove the outside panel held by 4 screws and remove the clamped hose from there. A LOT easier than removing cabinets etc. to access it from the inside. I learned this the hard way. Mine me i...

Re: Buying it back...
The system uses both batteries when the engine is running so it charges both. When you shut the ignition off it isolates the house battery from the starting battery. In theory you can run the house battery dead and still start the engine. Sent from my SM-J727T1 using Tapatalk That’s good to know, I...

Battery question
I’ll make a post later but I just got my 1998 back home. I was reading the manual and it looks like the coach battery and house battery are in parallel? So you could potentially drain your coach battery if you had the interior lights on.

Re: New B190 owner here
Did you notice if the seat belts for the couch were bolted to the chassis or to wood instead? Thank you.
*EDIT:
They are bolted to the chassis.

Which one would you guys choose? 1992: https://columbus.craigslist.org/rvs/d/1992-airstream-b190/6611438252.html 1998: https://athensga.craigslist.org/rvs/d/1998-airstream-190/6596332276.html Considering mechanical reliability, would you guys pick the 1998 over the 1992 because it's newer?
