Got a 1996 and heading from St Louis to Joshua Tree for Thanksgiving

My partner and I decided to quit our jobs for a bit, buy a B190 and drive out to Joshua Tree National Park for Thanksgiving.
I'm sure we'll find plenty of gremlins along the way, but the 1996 chassis seems to be in surprisingly good shape.

Need to figure out why the furnace and generator both kick off after a few seconds but this forum looks like it has some amazing info already to get me started.

Haven't found any places in the St Louis area yet that want to get anywhere near an RV this old. If anyone has tips on finding mechanic shops along the way that can accommodate a B190 I'd be happy to hear them!

Congratulations, and good luck to you.
I know minimum about your B190, but know a lot about JT.
Please reach out to me if you would like info.
