Installing Maxxair fan, removing rooftop vent..looking for power
I have removed the original vent from the ceiling above the bunk. I found a red and yellow wire stubbed and capped and bundled adjacent to the vent. I was really excited and went ahead and installed my new Max air fan with the hope that I could wire it in relatively straightforward manner. But now that I have it installed, I’m not getting any power from those red and yellow wires. Does anyone know if they are stubbed out somewhere and just need to be connected or if they are totally dead and I need to snake new wires down to the fuse box?

Those are the prewire for the solar panels. You should be able to find the other end in or near the fuse panel, probably capped off. (Well, the negative might be connected, but the positive was capped off in mine.)
Edit: Wait, where's the power for the original fan? If you're using those, check the thermostat on the wall near the bunk, in mine, that controlled power to the fan (I bypassed it years ago).
