how to winterize
Hello, What are the steps I need to follow when winterizing. I bought the anti freeze and drained all the water. I do not know how to bypass water heater...where is this valve? thanks Joan

Re: how to winterize
Mine didn't come with a bypass installed; I have one but haven't installed it yet. It would be located at the back of the water heater (inside back door, right side).sudec11 wrote:Hello, What are the steps I need to follow when winterizing. Without the bypass, you're going to need enough to fill up the water heater. Annoying. It'll take about 6-7 gallons to do it.
But the gist of it is, you put the anti freeze in the tank and pump it throughout the system. I wrote this article a while back with an overview of the steps.
