Valve Cover Replacement

Couldn't find a shop which would work on my B190. All of them said it was too old, so I am doing it myself. Just getting down to the valve covers is a herculean task. Finally removed the EFI today and will start ordering parts. Going to do all I can while I have it opened up.

This has been a journey, to say the least. We finally turned the corner this afternoon. Just like dominos in that one thing leads to the next, and the next, and the next.... I tried to take as much advice as possible. I ended up well beyond the valve covers. We now have a new alternator, new EGR tube and pipe, new o rings on the fuel injectors, new plugs, wires, cap, and rotor, new fan with clutch, new tensioner, new serpentine belt, new thermostat, new water pump, and who knows what else. (The water pump deserves a post by itself and I will in the coming days) Should be all together by this weekend. I will update then.

Well the good news is that there's that much less to go wrong in the near future, hopefully!
