Probably should be "1B9..." - I think all the Airstream B190 VINs started with that.

Could you please also post the chassis VIN?

How would I go about checking the VIN #? From google search, I found several websites that you can insert a vehicle's VIN# and it gives you back some basic info, unless you pay for the full report. But what do I do with the b190's "1B9..." number?
Thanks.

Yea the ford vin # just gives you basic information about the chassis being they were sold incomplete.

I believe there's a link on the site to find out more about airstream vin#

I do like how it's all stealthy, metal gray. No stripes or decals. And I like that funky top front shape, before they went all straight and flat.

I just bought a Carfax report for the Ford Vin # but still cannot figure out what to do with the Airstream Vin #. Is there a carfax-like website for that? I believe I've read every single post on these boards by now, but could not find the answer to this question. I found an explanation of where this VIN# is located, and what some of the digits mean (like unit produced #, etc), but is it possible to find out the history and condition of the cabin through it?

Nah, the Airstream VIN is only useful for a few things.
1. If you ever need a part from Airstream, they may want it to help determine which part you need.
2. If you join WBCCI, they'll want it to confirm you own an Airstream.
3. Us doing our little B190 tracking project. :)

That's about it. I don't know if WBCCI keeps track of Airstream VINs for any purposes. But, if they did, the only thing you'd be able to tell (at most) is that so-and-so owned it when they joined WBCCI. (For example, I suspect WBCCI still has my B190 VIN and not the one for our trailer. I don't think I ever updated them.)

As was linked in another thread, you can decode the VIN, but it won't tell you anything you don't already know (it's a B-van, Ford chassis, 19'-20' long, two axles, model year, etc.).
